What is a Personalized Tribute?
A Personalized Tribute is a slideshow/movie presentation created from photos, slides and/or VHS home video clips and often set to music. The Tribute is produced in DVD and/or CD format.

Can I have my disc and packaging personalized?
Yes, we can personalize the disc and the packaging with any color scheme, art work, text or photos provided.

How many photos, video clips and songs are needed and how long is the Tribute?
Each photo is displayed for approximately 8 seconds, which equates to 30 pictures per four minutes. Therefore, 100 pictures would be approximately 13 - 14 minutes. Video clips from your VHS home movies may be included and be anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes long. Please keep in mind that every Tribute is personalized and therefore different, the above estimates are only to give you an idea. Occasionally there will be two or more photos shown simultaneously during the tribute which will impact the 8 seconds per photo formula. We can also adjust the 8 seconds down to 6 seconds per photo depending on the number of photos and Tribute time desired.

What type of images and music should be included?
There are no right or wrong photos or video clips. The images should include people and/or places that are special to the person or people being honored by the Tribute but they are not necessarily included in every photo.

Do I need to place them in order or can I-Memories?
There is a common misconception that the photos and video clips should be in chronological order. Placing them in chronological order can often be a distraction as some will question the accuracy of the order. Each image stands independent and represents a special memory. We will place them in any order that is requested and if no request is made we will select the best photos or video clips for the start and finish and mix the images so the person being honored is not excluded for too many consecutive images.

What is a Video Message?
A video message is a recorded message that may be used to start or close the tribute. I-Memories will come to you at your convenience and record a video message to be included in your Tribute.

What is a Tribute Introduction and Closing?
A written introductory message is usually used to further personalize the Tribute (example: Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad) while the closing message may expresses a sentiment of congratulations or “many more”.

Will I-Memories restore old and/or damaged photos?
Yes, it is our goal to present every tribute with the highest quality possible.

How will the tribute be shown?
We can present your Tribute at parties, wedding receptions, etc. in such a way that the images are large enough for everyone present to have optimum viewing but without compromising the quality. I-Memories presentation is displayed on an LCD projector with 4100 lumens, 800:1 contrast ratio, 2,359,296 pixels and XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The image size will be displayed up to 78 _” by 58 _” (8 foot diagonal).

Will I-Memories come to my home and pick up the pictures?
Yes, free of charge for the Jacksonville, Florida area. Please call to schedule a time that is convenient for you.

Can additional copies be purchased?
Yes. Please see our Price List.

Can you guarantee that a DVD created by Innovative Memories work in my DVD player?

No, we cannot guarantee it, however we can assure that we are using the most compatible DVDs available in the market today.   See below for a complete explanation of why you may be having problems with our DVD but not any that you've purchased or rented.

First, we must understand that there are two main categories of DVD formats;

Pressed DVDs and Recordable DVDs.

  • Pressed DVDs
Pressed DVDs are what you find at your local video shop. They will work in over 99% of DVD players and computer DVD ROM drives. However, due to the inordinate price of glass mastering, Pressed DVDs are not a viable or affordable option for personal production.

  • Recordable DVDs
Recordable DVDs include single write formats (DVD-R, DVD+R) and multi write formats (DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM). Each format has limited compatibility with DVD players; for example DVD-R provides approximately 93% compatibility; DVD-RW provides roughly 30% compatibility; DVD+R provides about 70% compatibility and DVD+RW provides around 65% compatibility. Innovative Memories produces only DVD-R format (93% compatibility).
Our research has found the compatibility rate to be higher than 93% with newer DVD Players, regardless of price.   If your Innovative Memories DVD does not play properly, you may want to consider investing in a new DVD Player (DVD Players start around $40.00).   The cost of an updated DVD Player is much more reasonable than having a Pressed DVD made.
