TRIBUTES HOME VIDEOS TO DVD 8MM & SUPER 8 RESTORATION CORPORATE STORAGE VIDEO/PHOTO

8mm and Super8 to DVD

We transfer the film frame by frame directly onto a computer specifically designed to ensure no frames are dropped and that the movies play at the appropriate speed.   Once it is on the computer we remove the leader, insert transitions between filming breaks, perform an optimum color correction and convert it into digital format.   Each DVD has a Scene/Movie Selection Menu which offers the benefit of going directly to a date or event without fast forwarding.   The back of the DVD case will include a description of movie content; the front of the case and the disc will have photos from the corresponding movies.

Film degrades biologically and becomes so brittle that it cannot feed through a projector.   Transferring your film to digital format (on DVD) stops the aging process and allows the whole family to visit the past with the ease and convenience of your DVD Player.

Each DVD holds approximately one and a half to two hours of film, up to 12 scene selection motion menus and background music (music must be provided by the customer) or projector sound affect.

All film is cleaned, lubricated, repaired and combined (spliced) onto brand new plastic reels and cans and returned (along with all original reels, cans, boxes, etc.) to the customer.

Additional information

The Main Menu of your DVD provides the options to “Play All” or “Scene/Movie Selection Menu”.   “Play All” plays your movie(s) from start to finish in the same way a VHS tape does.

The “Scene/Movie Selection Menu” offers the benefit of going directly to an event on the DVD without fast forwarding.   To understand what a motion menu is; visualize two rows of four boxes on your television screen with a different movie playing in each one.

Whenever possible we will include a date and brief title (e.g., 10/9/88 – Billy's 2 nd birthday) above the box.   You may select any of these boxes and go directly to that part of the movie.
